Closing Hispanic Heritage Month with DePaul PRSSA

OUR MISSION:

The DePaul chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is dedicated to getting the best possible connections and experiences for our members.

A huge part of that is making sure that students from all different backgrounds feel welcome in their experiences and opportunities, whether that be at networking events, conferences, or even within our own chapter.

This Hispanic Heritage Month, we wanted to highlight some organizations that focus on helping Latine individuals advance in their PR/communications careers with scholarships and events to inspire diversity and belonging within the public relations field.

ORGANIZATIONS THAT SUPPORT POC INDIVIDUALS

Hispanic Scholarship Fund - A well-known organization and the premier location for Latine individuals to seek contributions to their career advancement. Open to all majors, this organization is dedicated to providing financial scholarships and events for students to learn and grow in their selected paths.

Hispanic Public Relations Association  - An organization dedicated to the advancement of Latine individuals, specifically in public relations. They offer several scholarships and job opportunities for students and post-grad individuals seeking to enter the workforce.

ColorComm - A space for women of all cultural backgrounds to attend events, network, and learn from each other to advance their careers. This organization specializes in media and communications, so that women of color can become a more prominent demographic in these areas.
